Recording Studio Design Package

Recording studio layout

When it comes to your recording studio layout, its crucial you decide just how your control room or live room is going to finally look. It’s best to not wait until everything its built to see if the recording studio layout you have in your head will actually work in practice. The last thing you want, is to find out that the control room door hits your chair or you can not fit equal sized bass traps in your live room because their is a window or door in the way. Or even worst you can’t open your door fully because you sub is in the way.

The best thing to do, is once you have your room ratio for each room and the amount of soundproofing your will require again for each room, you need to plan your recording studio layout way ahead of construction. You need to lay everything out on the plan to scale and then see how everything fits. If you don’t have your own CAD program, you do it the old fashioned way and draw everything with a ruler and pencil. There are loads of free peaces of software out there like Google Sketch-up that allow you do draw everything and make it 3D so you can see how things fit. Google even have their own 3D warehouse with a massive selection of 3D products and furniture that their community have uploaded.

We have our own software as you can see from some of the photos on our website. This means we can place all your kit in your proposed space and even add colour and texture to walls and furniture to give you a more realistic perspective of what your finished studio will look like. This service is only available to people who purchase our custom recording studio design packages.
